that necessary?
Recently, we had the privilege of worshipping in a home with a
group of only 11 members. What was son inspiring about this group is that they
are doing what they can to reach out to others. Many in their area feel that if
there is no church building, there can’t be a church. So this group is
constructing a building to worship in. They are thinking growth, because the
building is much larger than they need now. Instead of sending letters out to
the brotherhood, they are doing it themselves. It’s almost completed now and
will be complete with classrooms and an auditorium. Since it is built of cypress
wood with a metal roof, it should last for
generations.
Not that there is anything wrong with small groups asking for
help from larger ones, but it is inspiring to see what this small, dedicated
group is doing. A small sign announces their presence and the almost completed
building heralds their dedication and vision. Below are pictues of the sign, the
building, and some of the magnificent oaks on the
property.
